Interpreting and Advocacy

A Turkish advocate is available on Wednesday mornings. Advocates in other languages can be arranged by our reception team, but only in advance. Telephone interpreters are available via The Language Shop. Patients are welcome to bring their own interpreters; however, we do not allow children to act as interpreters.

Urgent appointments - Duty Doctor Service

Important

In most cases, we recommend contacting us as we have access to your medical record, rather than going to Accident and Emergency (A&E).

If you have a life-threatening emergency, please call 999 or go to A&E now.

If you have an urgent issue that needs to be dealt with on the same day,

  1. Request an urgent appointment online
  2. Telephone: 020 8985 2050 if you are having difficulty using our online service.

Contact us as early in the day as possible.

The Duty Doctor will decide what you need, which could be:

  • Advice over the phone
  • An appointment at the practice
  • A home visit
  • A referral to another service
  • If your problem is urgent we will contact you within 2 hours.

Healthcare professionals

Healthcare professionals have a dedicated telephone number to contact the practice on. Urgent professional calls are actioned within 30 minutes.

Sickness Certificates (Fit Notes)

You must give your employer a doctor's 'fit note' (sometimes called a 'sick note') if you've been ill for more than 7 days in a row and have taken sick leave. This includes non-working days, such as weekends and bank holidays.

Home Visits

You can request a home visit at any time during our opening hours. The Duty Doctor will decide if the visit needs to be on the same day, or arranged for another time.

You may only request a home visit if you are housebound or are too ill to visit the practice. Your GP will only visit you at home if they think that your medical condition requires it.

You can be visited at home by a Community Nurse if you are referred by your GP.

To request a home visit:

  1. Request a home visit online
  2. Telephone: 020 8985 2050 if you are unable to use or are having difficulty with our online service.

Change or Cancel an Appointment

Please give us as much notice as possible so we can offer your appointment to someone else.

To cancel your appointment:

  1. Phone us on 020 8985 2050
  2. Contact us online
  3. Use your NHS account (through the NHS website or NHS App)
  4. Cancel using our online system
