The Well Street Surgery is a group practice of 12 doctors. We have 6 partners and 6 associate doctors. We are a training practice and have GP Registrars and other training doctors, these are fully qualified doctors with hospital experience. They spend between 4 months and a year with the practice and their work is supervised by a senior partner. We also have 4 Practice Nurses plus a sexual health nurse, a Pharmacist and 3 Health Care Assistants.
Our premises are the site of an old garment factory, and the building which features the original iron girders and bright open reception area has been acclaimed in a number of architectural journals. We have 19 consulting rooms, 9 on the ground floor and 10 on the first floor, we also have a Minor Surgery Suite. All floors are accessible by lift. We are particularly pleased to have a Community Room on the ground floor where the weekly baby clinic takes place as well as a range of community activities.
We were inspected by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) on 21st January 2016. The practice was awarded a 'good' rating with outstanding features. There were no recommendations for improvements to our services. To read the inspection report please click here.
