All calls will be diverted to CAMIDOC,our out-of-hours service. A GP will discuss your problem with you. You may be given advice on how to manage your problem yourself, or invited to see a GP at the CAMIDOC base at the Homerton Hospital.The doctor will tell you if they think that you need to go to Accident and Emergency.
Home visits will be made where medically necessary.

We operate an appointment system here at Well Street. Routine appointments can be made up to 4 weeks ahead.
We always see people with urgent medical problems on the same day.
If you need to see a doctor urgently, please ring as early as possible (after 8.30am), and you will be given an appointment for the same day.
It is also possible to speak to a doctor or nurse on the phone to discuss your problems, and decide together whether you need to be seen that day.
If you have a less serious problem such as hay fever or a viral infection, local pharmacists can give you advice, and can prescribe appropriate medications. If you do not pay for your prescriptions, the receptionists can give you a "Pharmacy First Voucher" which means the chemist can give you certain medication without charge. They will advise you to see your GP if necessary. I

YOU SHOULD ONLY GO DIRECTLY TO ACCIDENT AND EMERGENCY IN CASES OF REAL EMERGENCY, SUCH AS SEVERE CHEST PAIN OR BREATHLESSNESS, LOSS OF CONSCIOUSNESS, BLOOD LOSS OR A SERIOUS ACCIDENT.
