Clinics and Services

pregnantAntenatal Clinic
Wednesdays and Thursdays 2.00pm - 4pm
 This is a community clinic and it is staffed by midwives from the Homerton Hospital. We pass on your details to the midwives who will contact you directly with an appointment. You will be given your midwife's telephone number so that you can contact them throughout your pregnancy. 
Baby Clinic
Tuesday 9.30am - 11am
Immunisations are by  appointment with the Practice Nurse.  Parents will be sent an appointment for their child's 6 week check. Baby weighing and Health Visitor clinic is walk-in and patients are seen in order of arrival. Buggies and prams must be left outside padlocked to the rail provided. Receptionists have locks to lend you.

Acutely ill babies will not be seen in baby clinic.

Diabetic Clinic
Patients with diabetes are invited for a complete medical checkup every year. This is a 2 part check. An appointment will be sent for both.

Family Planning
Monday 4.00pm - 6pm
Available to all patients by appointment with nurse through reception. Family Planning can also be discussed at any consultation.

Breathing Clinic
Wednesday 10am -1 2 and at other times by appointment.
Patients with asthma or COPD will be invited to attend annually for a review of their condition. Please bring all inhalers with you.

bp checkBlood Pressure Clinic
Wednesday 9.30-12.00and at other times by appointment.
Patients with high blood pressure are invited to the practice for a review of their condition. You will be asked to have blood tests first.

Drug Misuse Clinic

Patients with drug problems are seen in partnership with Addactio at a Tuesday afternoon clinic. All patients must be referred by their GP.

Anti-Coagulation Clinic
Thursday 9.30am-12.30pm
Patients on Warfarin are seen regularly by the Practice Pharmacist

Blood Tests
Mon, Wed Fri By appointment 9.30am-10.30am
Patients are seen only with a blood form from a doctor or nurse.

Dermatology Clinic
We have a GP With Special Interest in Dermatology who holds clinic in the Practice. Patients have to be referred to him by their own GP

Alcohol Counselling Clinic 

Uschi Gramman from City and Hackney Alcohol Service runs a weekly clinic for people with alcohol problems on Wednesday morning, 9.00am-12.00.You can make an appointment directly.

FWA clinic

Beverley James from the FWA sees people for short term counselling and help for a range of problems, such as depression, benefits problems, bereavemnt etc. You need to be referred by your doctor.

Locality Mental Health team link worker

Marcia Tennant sees people at afornightly session on Tuesday afternoons with a range of mental health problems. most people are referred by their GP.

Turkish speaking Counseller

Available Monday mornings by GP referral only

Accupuncture Simon  Robey   sees patients over 60 with a range of problems. This is a service provided by the Sharp End- please ask the receptionist or your doctor for more details.

Physiotherapist

A physiotherapist holds two sessions per week at the practice. patients have to be referred by a GP

Commuter Clinic

We have a late clinic from 6.30pm-8.30pm every Tuesday evening specifically for patients who can not attend during normal opening hours. Appointments are made by reception.

ATTACHED CONSULTANT CLINICS

Dr. Trevor Turner, consultant psychiatrist, sees patients referred by their GP on one Tuesday afternoon per month.

 



SERVICES AT THE PRACTICE

All our doctors provide medical advice and treatment on the NHS. Other services such as private medicals, passports etc are available but may attract a fee as they are non-NHS services.


PREGNANCY TESTS

Leave an early morning urine sample at reception any weekday before 12.30pm. Receptionists will give you a bottle. Results are given to you by a nurse after 2pm (except Thursday)
